Welcome to Module 2 of the Product Management Capstone Project: The Conceive and Plan Phases.

Begin this module with a review of the conceive phase in the product management lifecycle. You then review the product concept document, and the product vision development activities accomplished in the conceive phase. You will then watch a demo video illustrating a product concept document and vision. Next, in a hands-on lab, you will accomplish an internal and external analysis and create a product concept document and product vision to support the solar water heating scenario. You'll take a five-question practice quiz to test your grasp of key concepts.

Next, you'll review key steps required to complete the plan phase of the product management lifecycle. You then watch a demo video that illustrates a product requirements document (PRD), user story format, and product backlog. You then turn your attention to a product roadmap. You will review a product roadmap, and then provide an illustration. You then review a business case followed by a demo video that illustrates a completed business case example. Next in a hands-on lab, you will develop a PRD, a product roadmap, and a business case using the original and updated product scenarios.

The module ends with a practice quiz, a glossary of terms, a module summary with takeaways, and a ten-question graded quiz.
